BOOKING INFORMATION AND RESERVATIONS:
Information and reservations of any pre-established itinerary should be booked well in advance with us. Our regular trips can be reserved for private groups, like alumni associations, family groups, or even a private group of friends. We can easily custom design an itinerary to suit your needs.
All new requests for services should be sent by fax or email. Prices are quoted in US dollars. Our trips are priced according to group size. Accommodation in both hotels and tents is based on double occupancy. If you are traveling alone you will need to pay a single supplement, which will be listed in the trip itinerary.
The itinerary incluyes a day by day description stating exactly what is included and what is not. Because of our good relations with hotels, transport companies and operators in general, we manage to maintain very competitive prices all year round. It’s understood that prices have to include a fee to cover our overhead.
About one month before departure we need to confirm a final rooming list, pre-pay hotels and reconfirm any internal flights. This rooming list should incluye first name, last name, passport number, age, nationality and number of double and single rooms. This data is requested by hotels and local airlines.
OPERATIONS:
All operations in Ecuador are coordinated through our Quito office. If changes are made we will give a full report at the end of the trip, especially if any changes result in additional costs. Tours Unlimited assumes no liability regarding provision of medical care. If a member of the party becomes ill we will take care of them by getting a recommended doctor to him/her and of course any extra costs are the individual client’s responsibility, including hospitalization, if necessary. We strongly recommend a travel medical insurance plan. We assume no liability for loss or damage to baggage during the trip. We also recommend purchasing a travel insurance package.
GENERAL ECUADOR TOUR DETAILS:
All our tours are guided by professionals. For the most part they are bilingual, and carefully chosen for their skills, attention to safety and familiarity with the region. Transportation depends on size of the party and vehicles are driven by professionals with years of experience. In the interest of economy for small parties up to three people we use a driver/guide’s own car.
PAYMENTS:
A deposit of 30% of the total price must be paid in advance when making the reservation. The balance must be paid upon the passengers’ arrival, unless a different arrangement has been made beforehand.
CANCELLATIONS:
We do not charge for cancellations. However, some local operators, trains, boats and hotels do charge, and in these cases we bill these charges to our clients. For the Galápagos, cancellation fees are more strict. Please check with us depending on the type of boat you require.
